As you of course know, it's going to be Superbowl Sunday in about three and half days. I've been playing around with the red white and blue combo recently, not sure if it's because my subconscious is trying to gain style points or if I'm just anxious for the game. I've also been wearing a lot of plain things lately. Ditching my patterns and designs until the weather gets nicer. I also feel like I'm usually the one with the brightest clothes on within a two mile radius. And that's not always a good thing sometimes, especially when the stares start to ensue.

I've been trying to mix up what I wear more. I used to be afraid of bold colors, certain patterns, cuts even certain heights. F that mayne. What's the point of having all these clothes if I don't where them? It's been a hectic week since I got back from DC last week. I'll be sure to post photos and videos of my trip once I upload [more like find] my camera. It was Chinese New Year yesterday, and for the first time I actually wished my family was celebrating it. I remember we used to go out to Chinatown all the time to watch the parade and eat with everyone, the firecrackers used to scare the shit outta me but now I find them to be amazing.

since one of my name's is Lee, this is only appropriate.

I promised myself I would dedicate a time each day to sit down and write, and starting ~~tomorrow~~ today, I'm sticking to my word. Over my break from classes I realized that the world really is a small.smallsmall place. From mutual friends to mutual funds, everyone seems to know somebody. I think that this year is really going to be one for the books. Just the beginning of January has already been eventful as hell. I've met so many new interesting.exciting.incredible people. They say college sets the tone for the rest of your life, I'm not so sure I believe that though. I think your life is all about what you make of it, yes the decisions you make have their effect, but I'm pretty sure there's a smidge of timing and luck in there too.

Howdy! I've been feeling a lot better since I took literally four days of just sitting in my room with nothing but an endless supply of homemade chicken rice soup, Entourage, and orange juice. I'm currently at work and I started to think about what the price of stuff actually is. I see kids in high school with more money to "blow" than I've seen in ages, so to drop two-fifty on a pair of sneakers that came out when they were probably preconceived is nothing to them. I was talking to someone about food miles the other day [feel free to judge away] and how they affect the price but to them money ain't a thang. Then there are those that I see in my neck of the woods that push around carts looking for cans, you think they've ever heard of fucking food miles? I know I'm ranting and rambling just something that crossed my mind. I know I've spent a lot of unnecessary money in the past, but I'm going to try to make a conscious effort to reduce frivolous spending as much as possible. I ask myself this now...Are you aware of the cost behind the sales tag?

Half the world lives on less than two dollars a day. So if you have it, give it.

It's pretty clear when people are unhappy with a situation, and it's only right to do your up most best to try and fix it. I can say that I've put just about all I can into it without being naive about the inevitable. I really hope everyone had a great Christmas, and that you got achance to spend it with those that you love and hold close. For my family itwas the first Christmas without my Grandpa there. I miss him a lot, sometimes Icatch myself before I can remember that he's in a better place.

I'm not sure why I labeled this post uneasy. I've just beenfeeling that way for the past couple of weeks. It's like there's so many thingsgoing on at once, so many things that I'm responsible for that are happeningsimultaneously...and for some reason even with all the great things that arehappening to everyone, I can't help but feel somewhat dissatisfied or leftout. I always get a little weird when the year ends though so thatprobably explains it...I'm not sure if anyone ever feels like this, or maybeI'm just crazy. Probably the latter. I don't know, sometimes I question whetheror not the goals on my list will ever be reached. It's becoming more and moreapparent that it's about who youknow, instead of a world based on merit <--- who are we kidding. I know thatsaying holds its weight, I just didn't realize how heavy it actually issometimes. I get how the game works, timing.connections.the right parties.theright people. not sure I'm willing to roll the dice though...Unless you'resomebody's somebody, you're anyone's nobody. I know I'm sounding like I wearall black (which I do frequently actually) go to movies alone (which I also do), and have no onewho cares about me (which I know isn'ttrue). But sometimes it's so hard to picture your dreams when everything's socloudy in this world.
